Olympus Olive Contractors and Transport  utilise a self propelled, over the row  mechanical harvester which allows variable width to adjust to diverse tree sizes.

The leaf extractors and conveyer belts ensure that the olives are conveyed to the fruit bins with the maximum efficiency. A particular advantage for olive oil producers is the ability to harvest fruit whilst still green. 

The olive harvester harvests continuously, adding to the cost efficiency. Field trials in 2003 showed the harvester is capable of  up to 98% fruit retrieval.
