Ron BSB.08

Hello my name is Ronald, that's when I'm in trouble, other times its just plane old Ron. I came to Australia in FEB 1959 as a ten-pound import ($20.00), loving all 45 years of it, the UPS & DOWNS and all. I have worked (that's a hard word to type, WORK).  But thats life is it not, I have worked in three of our states at one time or another for the last 27 years, I worked in the medical industry.  I spent 9 years in the O.R and in the wards as an orderly doing patient care etc.

I am now retired from (that, you know word) and taking it easy.

My wife and I had plans to travel around the big paddock, but we only got around half way, and had to call it a day as we both got sick, and when we saw the old doctor he told us! So we came home to Bendigo it being my wife's hometown.

I had only been into C.B for four years, back when we started our travels. Any way you can understand my surprise when I became president in so short a time, BUT now I've got the cream. When I saw that I would be the first president IN the year 2000 and the last for 1999. I was saying about being the first el- President for year 2000, and what have we had in that time we've had 7 Radio Days, 7 MRC challenge and many many BBQ "s, lots of good times as a radio club but the biggest event was our 30 year anniversary. Okay, next up date 2016 then I'll be 85 and some one else can type for me BSB 08// the Reverent Dandruff.
