My name is Jim Shelton; I was born in Vine Street Bendigo,
February 1936.
I worked first as a BoilerMaker Welder on various sites around Australia.
Worked as a Welding Inspector and Safety officer. First on the gas pipeline from Melbourne to Bendigo, then six years working on the Bass Strait oil drilling platforms.
I was later employed by TAFE teaching welding in the Bendigo Prison.
I am now retired and don't know how I found the time to work ...
My name is Joyce Shelton (nee Broomfield); I was born in Colac August 1939.
I will have been married to Jim for 47 years, December 2006. I was born in Colac and worked in
general nursing for some years around Australia as Jim moved to different construction sites.
We have four children and ten grandchildren.
