United Grand Lodge of England - the mother Grand Lodge, with an excellent Links page to many other Grand Lodges around the world. US Grand Lodges may also be found here.
Research Lodges and Organizations
In Victoria the Victorian Lodge of Research is the leading research lodge, especially through its Correspondence Circle, while Kring Nieuw Holland is a study circle with a difference! The ANZMRC is the umbrella body for Australia and New Zealand.
The Museum of Freemasonry operates through the UGL of NSW & ACT and has a wide range of informative papers and books available. Also in NSW is the Centre for Fraternal Studies, examining the historical role in Australian society of friendly and fraternal organizations.
Excellent and academic British research bodies include Canonbury Masonic Research Centre, the Sheffield University Centre for Research into Freemasonry, the Quatuor Coronati Lodge of Research and The Cornerstone Society .
The Pietre-Stones site has a huge (and growing) number of essays and even full text books, and the North American Philalethes Society's site has considerable research material.
Personal and Information Pages
The Australian Masons Mailing List enables you to "chat" with brethren through e-mail. There is also a UK list, and many more around the world. A Google search using Masonic Mail List brings up plenty, especially in the United States.
Gary Dryfoos' personal pages have excellent essays and links, while Freemasonry.org has many resources and links (though with a strong North American flavour).
Cat Yronwode's idiosyncratic pages give a succinct account of Freemasonry for women, as well as an excellent survey of the concepts of Sacred Architecture and Geometry
The Royal Freemasons' Homes of Victoria is a major aged care provider , while the Freemasons' Hospital in Melbourne (now operating as Epworth Freemasons) continues to be a leader in day procedure, emergency and critical care services, as well as in maternity care, oncology and cancer treatment.
