You are listening to Eagles and Horses - Words and Music by John Denver and Joe Henry. Video clip from You tube.
I have written a poem to
express my feelings
to this wonderful man who
I love so very much.

YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE.
You were such an
inspiration.
With your songs that came
from the heart.
You left us all too soon
and your soul now fills our hearts.
As you were a special
person that God wanted for himself.
You gave us joy in our
hearts
and songs that lifted our
spirits.
You are always there

You shared with us stories
of your children
and showed us how much
they were loved.
You taught them how to
love each other,
You taught them to live
life unto the full,
By showing them the way.
They miss you now,
but you are always there

Your songs were filled with
many images of Nature
The Rocky Mountains your
inspiration as well as country roads.
The eagles soaring
through the skies,
the earth and what it
meant to you. You made us stop.
You made us think.
What is happening in our
world/
But you are always there.

You thanked God often for
the special gifts
he gave you that made us
feel so good.
You made everything feel
so real,
You taught us how to
live,
You taught us how to love
But most of all you
showed us how we should give.
Your songs were full of
caring, full of nature, full of love,
We knew your songs so
well and listened all the time.
For you are always there

God took you one Sunday
afternoon
to sing your songs for him.
You are our guardian angel
now.
Watch over us and guide us
as we plod along our way.
Help us make your dreams
come true
for you are always there.

God bless you, John and keep
you safe
Now and forever more
May you soar the skies and
the heavens to your hearts content.
We will remember the songs
you've sung. Now and forevermore.
Till we meet again, dear
friend.
We know you are always
there.
